Welcome to the International Academic Nursing Alliance (IANA)
                       

The International Academic Nursing Alliance (IANA) is a free online global community for academic faculty to share information, resources, research, interests and teaching/collaborative opportunities.  IANA is an exclusive service of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International(STTI) provided for the use of faculty members of schools of nursing and academic nurse educators*. STTI membership is not required to participate. To encourage sharing among the community of academic educators, this is a password-protected site.


Benefits of membership to individual academic nurse educators 
  • Library – Upload and search documents, such as related curricula, innovative teaching strategies, etc.
  • Discussion Forum – Take part in online discussions with colleagues from across the street or around the world about various education or research topics. Share information about your teaching responsibilities, scholarly work you have completed related to teaching and learning, your research and any specific interests regarding collaborative efforts.  

 

Benefits of membership for Schools of Nursing

  • Universities – Nursing programs and contact information provided about your school of nursing to share with IANA members.
  • Library – Share information on curricula, innovative teaching strategies, student and/or faculty exchanges, etc.
  • Discussion Forum – Post requests for consultations on specific topics or experts on your faculty available to provide consultations on educational issues.

*Neither students nor clinical educators are allowed access to the site at this time; however, this may be a possibility as the site expands and if IANA participants feel it will be of added value.
